Another very famous state, and one that you can get confused with as happened to me. It is quite common for the state of Washington to be confused with Washington, D.C.

Washington, D.C. is a federal district that was created to serve as the nation’s capital. It is not part of any state and is located on the East Coast of the United States, between Maryland and Virginia. The city was specifically designed to house the federal government and its institutions, including the White House, the U.S. Capitol, the Supreme Court, and various federal agencies.

On the other hand, the state of Washington, which we’ve been discussing, is located on the West Coast and is named after the first President of the United States, George Washington. Its capital is Olympia, and its largest city is Seattle.

Also, this state is famous for La Push, Seatle, and Forks shooting locations for the movie Twilight. The romantic comedy film ’Sleepless in Seattle,’ starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan, is set in Seattle and features iconic locations like the Pike Place Market and the observation deck of the Space Needle.

Washington is a slightly more expensive state than the average U.S. state, but the quality of life and economic diversity make it a cost-effective state to live in.
