Whether you’re a real estate agent, journalist, home renovation professional, or just really like learning about what’s happening in the home renovation industry, recent data can be very important (and interesting).
Detailed plans for more than 15,000 projects have been created and estimated for free using our tools since our soft launch in early 2015. These estimates total approximately $230 million. We pay attention to our customers’ preferences, and that’s why we’ve analyzed the data they produce by using our tools, and come to some conclusions about the industry that we want to share.
We’re using our findings to bring our readers periodic industry insights with the Home Renovation Pulse Report, create pretty infographics for our peers to use, and talk about industry trends on Twitter with our new handle, @renovationdata. We’ll compare our findings to those of highly revered industry publications, such as Remodeling Magazine’s Cost vs. Value Report and The Joint Center for Housing Studies at Harvard’s Cost vs. Value Report, because we can’t improve the home renovation industry or predict trends if we don’t watch, analyze, and talk about it.
