IOTA Element is an artistic encounter of two cabinetmakers, both graduates of the renowned French school of design École Boulle, and an engineer of Arts and Crafts. They have the perfect alchemy of know-how, design, and high-tech skills. Based in Paris, the trio designers manufacture modern line furniture carried by an innovative concept: associating furniture with technology and new uses to transcend its primary function.
When cabinetmaking meets technology
Claude Hordé and Julien Roqueplan are craftsmen cabinetmakers, and Antoine Bourdon is an engineer. These three childhood friends are the founders of IOTA Element, a house founded in Paris in 2013. For Antoine, “It was now or never. After studying the market we decided to position ourselves in the high-end, designing traditional furniture that discreetly but efficiently integrates advanced technology.”
The trio is based in Montreuil, a suburb of Paris known for its artists and creators. Their workshop quickly designed its first exceptional piece of furniture, the Echo desk. Combining sleek and elegant design with quality finishes, this desk has a complete, high-quality hi-fi system. Presented at exhibitions and major events such as the Paris Design Week and the Carrousel du Louvre, the Echo branded the spirit of IOTA and kickstarted interest in the bold, young venture.

Craftsmanship for the 21st century
IOTA Element continues to research and conceive of designs that combine their passions for art and new technologies. Within the DNA of IOTA Element, there is a desire to produce sleek furnishings with exceptional finishes that meet modern uses, particularly hi-fi and multimedia components. They truly represent the arts and crafts of the 21st century.
For the creation of their modern line furniture, Claude, Julien and Antoine favor noble wood species such as ebony, sycamore, and walnut. The same attention is given to integrated hi-fi and multimedia elements, which are selected from recognized brands they trust. Operating in a high-end niche, IOTA Element offers a range of options, colors, and materials to make each piece of furniture even more unique. All IOTA creations are designed and handcrafted in France, and then numbered and stamped to ensure their authenticity.
Attached to the world of luxury through their unique and exceptional work, IOTA Element also explores the world of furnishings and decor with more affordable designs, without sacrificing their high standards of quality. Among their latest projects is a set of low tables that can accommodate a projector, a console with a recharging surface, and a coffee table that incorporates lighting and power outlets.
